Why should I hire an interior designer?
As a designer with years of experience, I bring expertise to every project to ensure your redesigns are planned properly, executed professionally, and completed to perfection. Besides being able to provide trained eyes when laying out rooms, deciding on furniture, and picking colours and materials for your spaces, I also work with trades, builders, and architects who are proven to complete beautiful projects.
When should I hire an interior designer?
There are many times to hire an interior designer! Whether you’ve moved into a new house and want it designed professionally, are undergoing major renovations at your home or business, or would simply like some small changes with your space, I can help you. Contact me and we can discuss how I would help your next project.
I’ve never worked with a designer before - what are the first steps, and how do we work together?
It can be intimidating to consult with an interior designer for the first time, but don’t stress - the process is always done with you in mind. When working with me, there are general steps along the way. They can be modified depending on the type and size of the project:
- Consultation: I study the site and your space, learning about your lifestyle, design ambitions, and project specific details such as timeline, budgets, and your design preferences.
- Concept: I will develop layouts, finishes, and a design style to fit your lifestyle and preferences.
- Development: I add further detail to our plan, refining layouts and finishes, and picking materials for floors, walls, furniture, and lighting.
- Technical: At this point, we have signed off on the design, and begin to prepare proposals.
- Production: developing detail finishes, electrical and plumbing requirements, and acquiring any necessary permits.
- Construction: I hire contractors and tradespeople, and review the plans and design proposals. As the project progresses, I visit the home/site until the project is complete.
What type of projects do you do? Do you have a specialty?
I work on many types of projects, including residential or commercial, outside or inside. I have no specialty, and can apply my expertise in many ways. If there are any design or decorating projects you’d like assistance on, book a consultation and we can discuss how I can help you!
How much does a consultation cost? What are the prices after a consultation?
The initial consultation is $350 in which we would go through a questionnaire where I would have a better understanding of my clients vision of their future space. Once we have gone through this process, my rates vary from $155-$175/hour depending the scope of the project.
Do you work with other trade professionals, do you hire the trades, and do you have your own trades?
I work with trades professionals and contractors, providing all my own tradespeople including carpenters, painters, drywallers, floor installers, electricians, and plumbers. Because I have worked with these for years, I can guarantee the highest quality of work and can ensure that the project is completed smoothly and stress-free for you.
What happens at the first consultation?
The first consultation is an opportunity for me to see your home or space and start thinking conceptually about your project. This is where I will learn more about your ideas for your space, how it works in your life, and what changes will be the best for your project.
What locations do you operate in? How far will you travel for a project?
Although I am based in Leamington, Ontario, I will also operate throughout Essex County and have worked in the Kingsville, Lasalle, Lakeshore, and Windsor areas.
How can an Interior Designer save me money?
I can help save you money in a few ways: my relationships with suppliers mean I can get furniture and other products at discount pricing; I will be able make the best use out of the pieces you already own; I can prevent you from making any costly renovation or design mistakes you could make on your own; and professionally planned and completed projects will maximize your home’s value beyond working on your own.
Does an interior designer have access to more products than I can buy?
Because of my long-standing relationships with suppliers and wholesale retailers, there are often products I can access that a normal customer can’t. These usually come at better prices than you would find on the market as well.
Can the bedding be returned if it does not match my decor?

How long for the bedding to arrive?
The bedding is all custom, Please allow 4-8 weeks to ship.
